About the department

The Department of Computer Science and Applications of P. D. Women’s College is a comparatively new department. Yet, it is one of the most growing and promising departments of this college.The Department offers three years B. Sc. Honours degree. Along with that, certificate course, diploma course and advanced diploma course under the section of career-oriented programs in computer science are also offered to the students from other departments of this college. The guidance and cooperation of the experienced and expert faculty members of the department is one of the attracting features of this department, which enlivens the students to stretch their wings, so that they can fly higher than their dreams. The Department has a good infrastructure in terms of smart class rooms and well-equipped computing labs for the students.In consequence to their arduous, the students graduating from this department get selected to the top colleges and universities for their master degree programs every year. From there, most of them are offered job to the renowned IT companies.

Notable activities performed/Special Event (with selected image)

Every year we organize a departmental tour with all of our students. Other than this we also celebrate freshers. Final year students are given a farewell party to express the loss and good wishes at the same time.
