About the department

The Department of Mathematics since its very inception has been engaged in teaching and enhancing problem solving and laboratory skills of students. The department aims to provide students with theoretical and practical knowledge and to produce students who want to pursue post-graduation and research related areas, to create atmosphere where students can think clearly and become expert in the related are of mathematics. The Department has 2 departmental classrooms and a well-equipped lab cum stuff room. With its young and well qualified faculty members, the Department is a very active department. The faculty members also participate in various college committees. The Department also possesses a small departmental library, which is very helpful for the students. The department takes remedial classes for weak students. Extra classes are taken by the teachers to help students in preparing in various entrance tests (Like JAM) and competitive exams.
