As per guidelines of Government of India as well as Government of West Bengal, P.D. Women’s College has formed a Backward Community Cell for catering to the needs of SC/ST/OBC community students. The college is committed to provide an environment that promotes diversity and respects everyone regardless of caste, color, religious belief or cultures. While maintaining diversity of all kinds, it also commits to ensuring protection of everyone including SC/ST/OBCs. The cell has been established to support and to bring students from such communities in the main stream. The Backward Community Cell of the college was established in 2022 with the purpose to empower the SC/ST/OBC students in the college. The cell gives information to the students of SC, ST and OBC communities regarding different scholarship programmes and motivates them for better future planning.
